About

The Department of History, Tirot Sing Memorial College had its beginning in 1981 under the Pre- University System. Afterward, the Bachelor of Arts Pass Course started in 1992 after the College was granted permission and received affiliation from the North Eastern Hill University. Subsequently the Honours Course was added in 1995. From the start the Department is fortunate to have esteemed and dedicated teachers whose able guidance contributed to its growth. The Department offers a three years B.A Honours course following the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) syllabus. Presently, it has three full time faculty members with specific specializations of the subject. The Department endeavours to provide every learner with knowledge which would also direct their paths to a bright professional future. Bachelor degree in History enlightens young minds and thoughts which could in a long way prepare them for various competitive careers and equip them to undertake numerous research activities.
