NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

NSS is a youth-focused program under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. It aims to develop the personality and character of students through community service. It is a platform that encourages students to engage in various social activities, contributing their time, energy, and skills to address the needs of the underserved sections of society.
Our NSS Unit: A Catalyst for Change
The NSS unit is an active and dynamic force for good. Our dedicated team of faculty advisors and student volunteers work tirelessly to design, execute, and evaluate community service projects that create a lasting impact. We believe in the power of service to bring about social change and personal growth.
Our Impactful Initiatives:
We take pride in the diversity of our NSS initiatives through regular activities and special camp, and in collaboration with other Departments, committees and Cells of the College, all of which are focused on making a difference. Some of the key projects and activities our NSS unit has been involved in include:
1. Healthcare Camps:
Organizing and running free medical camps in underprivileged communities and adopted village to provide essential healthcare services and raise health awareness.
2. Educational Outreach:
Tutoring and mentoring children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, conducting campaigns to promote literacy.
3. Environmental Stewardship:
Planting trees, conducting cleanliness drives, and advocating for eco-friendly practices to promote a sustainable environment.
4. Social Awareness Workshops:
Organizing seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns on various social issues such as gender equality, sanitation, and civic responsibility in collaboration with other departments of the College.
5. Skill Development Programs:
Providing vocational training and workshops to empower individuals with practical skills for self-reliance through E-Cell of the college.
