Career Guidance and Counselling Cell
About
Tirot Sing Memorial College constituted the Career Guidance and Counselling Cell in 2009 Since its inception till 23rd July, 2014, the Cell comprised of two members, with Dr. P. Lyngdoh, Department of Education, as Coordinator and Ms. U.N.B. Lyngkhoi as member. The Staff Meeting of the College held on the 23rd July, 2014 reconstituted the Career Guidance and Counselling Cell with Ms. U.N.B. Lyngkhoi, Head Department of Education as Coordinator and Ms. P. Marbaniang, Department of Commerce as Member.
Objectives
- To provide guidance for choosing particular field, suitable for the students’ better future.
- To help students improve their employability skills and prepare for their career.
Activities
- Providing a Bulletin Board to display Employment News and Admission Notices for pursuing professional and higher studies in institutions and universities both within and outside the State.
- Providing counselling to Final Year students for higher studies.
- Giving information on professional development courses.
- Conducting seminars and workshops to help students improve their interview skills.
- Providing a Question Box where students can drop in their request for counselling on any particular issue.
Members
After having carried out various activities during the past few years, it was felt necessary for strengthening the Cell with more members. Hence, in the Staff Meeting held on the 2th February, 2017, the Career Guidance and Counselling Cell was reconstituted with the following members
