Principal
Tirot Sing Memorial College, Mairang
The College began with a very humble beginning since inception it is marching ahead in rendering educational services to the student community in the rural area. With the support of the governing body, the hard work and dedication of the teaching faculty and the non-teaching staffs including trust and confidence of the parents and the students, this co-operation had inspired all those having connection with the college to work harder for bringing fame and reputation to the college throughout the years.
In the past and the present, the college has gone through many ups and downs, but these difficulties are like the keys towards success. The motto of the college is "Enter to learn depart to serve" With this objective in mind, the college had produced thousands of passed out students who serve in various purposes and capacities of life in the society. In the transition of life, now we live in the technology and digital era in which our daily life is influenced by science and technology.
The implementation of the New Education Policy 2020 brings with it multiple challenges and requirements inspite of these problems and new demands yet we have to think in another perspective to suit with the educational needs and aspiration of the students so that we are keeping abreast with the recent trends and the development that are taking place in the country.
The college provides ample scope and opportunities to the students in Arts and commerce. The college from time to time launched different programmes such as personality development, skill enhancement and entrepreneurship training to enable the students to stand on their own legs to start their own jobs after the end of their studies and not to concentrate only on government jobs. I hope that after some years we are able to introduce new subjects or disciplines and even to introduce science stream in order to provide more opportunities and offers to the students. Sometime due to lack of opportunities in the state, many students have to migrate to other states in the country and even to foreign countries in other pursue higher education In doing so, a lot of money flow from the state to other states. Therefore it's a high time that more scope should be provided to the younger generation.
Today as the college grows from strength to strength in providing higher education to hundreds of students every year. I hope in the years to come many of our successful students who have completed or will be completing the studies from the college will serve for the larger interest of the society in varying capacities and abilities.
